About

Each level has its theme therefore level 1 is a normal medieval castle, level 2 is Medieval once again but an abandoned section with its theme abandoned atmosphere, and finally level 3 takes us through the sewer. Of course, we could have done a tutorial level but since there were a lot of issues we couldn't implement it into the game. Fortunately, you do not require a tutorial because when you're required an object is used to receive instructions with a prompt that presents you with the controls on how to utilize it.

Controls

The controls are simple with (a w s d), spacebar for jumping and clicking the left button of your mouse to shoot the projectile. When you approach a certain item or object or a power up you will receive information and how to utilize it. There is such a thing as a pause button, a setting section, and options either to start the game or leave the game. There's also a shop section where you can obtain certain items that may help you throughout the levels.

History and founders but also taxes:

The story begins on a bright and sunny morning in Taxonia when the government knights, led by the stern Sir Taxington, arrived at Slimehaven. Sir Taxington was a tall, imposing figure, always dressed in a suit of armor adorned with coins and ledgers. He had a monocle that he used to inspect every nook and cranny for potential tax revenue.

"Open the gates, Slippingtons! We've come to collect our taxes," bellowed Sir Taxington, pounding on the castle doors with his tax collector's staff, which resembled a large quill.

Inside the castle, the Slippingtons were in a frenzy. Slippy, the youngest and most mischievous of the Slippingtons, emerged as their unlikely hero. Slippy was a gelatinous green blob with a penchant for humor and a knack for inventing ridiculous gadgets.

As Sir Taxington and his knights waited impatiently, Slippy gathered his fellow Slippingtons. "It's time to defend our home from these tax-obsessed knights," Slippy declared, donning a makeshift crown made of cheese and wielding a spaghetti whip.

The Slippingtons sprang into action, armed with their wits and a stockpile of comical contraptions they had crafted over the years. They placed banana peel traps along the castle's corridors, replaced the castle's drawbridge with a giant rubber band, and filled the moat with laughing gas.

When the knights attempted to enter the castle, they found themselves slipping and sliding on banana peels, bouncing off the rubber band drawbridge, and laughing uncontrollably in the moat. Even Sir Taxington couldn't resist bursting into fits of laughter.

Amidst the chaos, Slippy confronted Sir Taxington, holding a giant oversized calculator and a feather duster. "Sir Taxington, your tax demands are absurd! We Slippingtons pay our fair share, but you're taxing us for the air we breathe and the laughter in our lives. It's time for you to see the funny side of life!"

With a twirl of the feather duster, Slippy tickled Sir Taxington, who erupted into uproarious laughter. The other knights, still struggling to regain their composure, joined in the merriment.

In the end, Sir Taxington and his knights couldn't collect a single coin from Slimehaven. They left the castle, still chuckling, with the promise to revisit Taxonia's tax laws and consider a more reasonable approach.

The Slippingtons celebrated their victory with a grand feast of spaghetti, cheese, and laughter. From that day on, Taxonia's government knights learned to balance their pursuit of taxes with a sense of humor, thanks to the unforgettable defense of Slimehaven and the indomitable spirit of Slippy the slime.

These bizarre tax laws had been in place for generations and were the source of much frustration and humor among the citizens of Taxonia. Slimehaven's successful defense against the tax-collecting knights helped to spark a reevaluation of these laws and a move toward fairer and more reasonable taxation in the kingdom.Story: Once upon a time in the whimsical kingdom of Taxonia, a land where the government knights were notorious for their relentless pursuit of taxes, there stood a magnificent castle known as Slimehaven. Slimehaven was the ancestral home of the Slippingtons, a peculiar family of sentient slimes who had resided there for generations. While the Slippingtons were known for their mirthful and playful nature, they were also fiercely protective of their home and their quirky way of life.

Slimehaven's history was a testament to the enduring power of humor and the ability of a community to defend its way of life with creativity and resilience. It stood as a reminder to the people of Taxonia that even in the face of the most absurd challenges, laughter and unity could prevail.Taxonia's Tax Laws: Taxonia's tax laws were renowned throughout the realm for their complexity and the seemingly endless ways in which the government sought to collect revenue. Here are some key aspects of Taxonia's tax laws:

1. **The Tax on Laughter:** Perhaps the most peculiar of all Taxonia's taxes, citizens were required to pay a tax based on how often they laughed. This led to a thriving underground trade in joke books and comedy shows as people sought to reduce their taxable laughter.

2. **Air Quality Tax:** Taxonia also imposed a tax on the air citizens breathed. Every breath was measured, and individuals were taxed based on the purity of the air they inhaled. The tax was levied to fund air purification projects, but it often felt excessive to the citizens.

3. **Creative Tax:** Taxonia encouraged creativity but taxed it heavily. Any form of artistic expression, from painting to writing to music, was subject to a creative tax. This led to a flourishing underground art scene, with artists often working in secret to avoid the tax collector's attention.

4. **Sunshine Tax:** In an attempt to capitalize on Taxonia's sunny climate, there was a tax on sunlight. Citizens had to pay a fee based on the amount of time they spent outdoors in the sun. This led to many people seeking shade and wearing sunblock to reduce their tax burden.

5. **Rain Tax:** On the flip side, Taxonia also imposed a tax on rainy days. Citizens were taxed for the inconvenience of getting wet, and this tax was especially unpopular during the rainy season.

6. **Invention Tax:** Inventors and innovators faced a special tax on their creations. Every new invention had to go through a lengthy approval process, and inventors were taxed based on the perceived value and usefulness of their creations.

7. **Window Tax:** Homeowners were taxed based on the number of windows in their houses. This led to many homes having fewer windows or even bricking up existing ones to reduce their tax liability.

8. **Food Tax:** Food items were taxed based on their deliciousness. The more enjoyable the food, the higher the tax. This created a thriving black market for bland, tasteless food.

9. **Noise Tax:** Any form of noise, from talking loudly to playing music, was subject to a noise tax. Citizens often spoke in hushed tones and listened to music in secret to avoid this tax

imehaven's founders: The founders of Slimehaven, the Slippington family, were a remarkable and eccentric clan known for their playful nature and inventive spirit. They played a central role in shaping both the history and the character of Slimehaven and the kingdom of Taxonia as a whole.

2. **Lady Jovia Slippington:** Lady Jovia, Sir Jellington's wife, shared his love for humor and adventure. She was known for her quick wit and kind-heartedness. Together, Sir Jellington and Lady Jovia created a joyful and welcoming atmosphere at Slimehaven.
